Tucu in Argentina
Pay by QR
in Argentina.
Cafés, kiosks and market stalls show a QR code at the counter. Tucu is a travel wallet for visitors: set it up before you leave, fund it in your own currency and pay those codes in pesos.
Made for visitors
The code on the counter is made for local accounts.
Argentina’s merchant QR codes are paid from local wallets and banks, and Mercado Pago and MODO accounts normally need Argentine identity details. Visitors are left with cash, or a card and whatever surcharge the shop adds.
Tucu is being built so a visitor can pay that code directly.
- Pay merchant QR codes in Argentine pesos as a visitor.
- See the exchange rate, fees and total as one number before you confirm.
- Use the same wallet for Pix when you travel on to Brazil.
